Fluorescence Monitoring

Fluorescence, which is measured in intensity, refers to the process in which electron excitation via photo absorption precedes the loss of a photon and the emission of light at a certain wavelength. The wavelengths at which excitation and emission occur are entirely dependent on the analyte of interest. Measuring the fluorescence of an analyte in a process stream provides a very sensitive method for detecting that particular analyte’s concentration.
